Raisometry is an independent, free calculator for people comparing a remote role against a hybrid or in-office opportunity.
Why it exists
Job offers often focus on the salary increase. Commuting can add direct costs and consume substantial personal time. We wanted to make those trade-offs visible with a fast, understandable, browser-based tool.
What it does — and what it does not
The tool estimates incremental commuting expenses and how much before-tax salary may be needed to offset those costs. It lets you assign a personal value to commute time, but keeps that value separate from cash expenses. It does not calculate payroll taxes, investment returns, job satisfaction, insurance, benefits, career advancement, or cost-of-living differences.
Our approach
We use explicit inputs, plain-language formulas and no required account. We do not collect salary details through a server in this version. Read the full methodology for formulas and limitations.
Public beta. This is an experimental planning calculator, not a payroll or tax service. Calculations are estimates. Advertising, accounts and feedback forms are not enabled. Optional Google Analytics 4 can measure visits and four calculator actions only after a visitor accepts analytics; financial inputs are not sent.
